Corrections Policy
We correct inaccurate, misleading or unsupported information when credible evidence shows that a change is needed.
Accuracy matters because these pages describe real people and difficult periods in their lives. Readers are encouraged to report questionable claims, missing context and unreliable sources.

Submit the concern
Send the page URL, disputed statement and a clear explanation of the problem.

Provide evidence
Include interviews, biographies, reputable reporting or other credible supporting sources.

We review and act
We may correct, clarify, expand or remove content based on the available evidence.
What to include
- The full URL of the page
- The exact statement in question
- A short explanation of why it is inaccurate or misleading
- Links to credible supporting evidence
- Your name and contact information, if you want a response
How corrections are handled
Correction requests are evaluated against the quality and relevance of the available evidence. A request does not guarantee that content will be changed or removed.
When a correction is supported, we may revise the wording, clarify the type of homelessness involved, replace a source, add missing context or remove the profile.
Unsupported central claims may be removed.
If credible evidence cannot support the main homelessness claim, removing the profile may be more appropriate than rewriting it.
Minor updates
Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken links and minor clarity improvements may be corrected without a public correction notice.
Significant corrections
When a change materially alters the central claim or interpretation of a story, we may add a correction or update notice to the affected page.
Response time
We review submissions as time and research requirements allow. Claims requiring additional investigation may take longer to evaluate.
